I actually bought this movie on google play rather than rent it as I am a huge sci-fi fan. I could watch the Matrix (not two and three!) over and over ... and I do. Anyway, this film is a disaster. The score is way too loud throughout the movie - we needed the subtitles just to hear what people were saying (and to try and understand the movie). This makes Vanilla Sky and Inception feel like run of the mill story line. It is so confusing with the present and future and the BACKWARDS action will drive you insane. Don't waste your time with this one. Sorry to be negative but the family are still laughing (in distress) at this movie the following morning.

It's so boring! The most boring action movie I've seen in a while. It was recommended to me by someone I work with. So some people like it. There is no story. Only one piece of mystery kept me watching until half way in which was where is the weird time stuff coming from. The characters have no depth. The scary people aren't scary because they're always interacting with other characters that don't care. From as much as I watched only one character had a back story. And no viewer of this movie could possible sympathize with this character. So boring back story. Maybe I'll finish this move in the future since I payed for it. But right now I just can't keep watching. In the entire first half of the movie nothing makes sense. Not even the characters. The main character has no personality and no appeal. He's like captain america minus a personality. There are many other bad things but this review is already long enough. I regret buying this movie.

Tedious and incomprehensible (and this is from someone who LOVES Primer). None of it makes any sense and the action sequences are just convenient sections to go and get a cup of coffee or a beer. I can't quite work out if this was Nolan taking the p!ss out of time-travel sci-fi movies in which case I would give it full marks as a magnificent example of genre trolling
