Tenet is Christopher Nolan's most ambitious movie to date. You could argue that he had taken on more than he could deliver. That said, the plot starts well introducing the Protagonist as a worthy hero, the story then loses some traction in the middle and comes off the rails at the end. For a movie that is as much about moving forward as it is, moving backward - it was ALWAYS going to be confusing. But Nolan does make every second enjoyable, if you "just go with it". There are some impressive scenes - but it is in no way his best work.

Amazing idea but the worst possible execution imaginable. As a HUGE Christopher Nolan fan who travels hours to see them in IMAX's cinemas I was blown away by how bad this was. It looks like it was shot on film from the seventies that they still had lying around with that awful contrast and washed out colours. The dialogue is often inaudible and that was done on purpose as a story telling device (what?!) and most of the scenes don't seem connected in any way, characters just appear in other countries and carry on the same conversations. Chris has spoken before about making movies seem "movie real", i.e. if this world fake world actually existed could we believe the events going on onscreen, think Lord of the Rings, Batman etc. Well he threw that out of the window with this and made us not believe in it and have zero connection to any character, I honestly wouldn't have cared if they'd have all died at any point.

Awful sound. I mean terrible and I have an Atmos Dolby system and still struggled to hear some dialogue. No character building..don't really know why the characters are doing what they are. Do I care about inverted time travel .. nope. Interstella was excellent and had emotion. This movie tries so hard to be clever with the concept but I just don't care about anyone in the movie. 2 stars because some may find the idea exciting or I interesting but not me.
