All I remember from this movie was a sadist hurting a woman (I think his wife), and that it was the worst movie I had ever seen. Though it has been a long time since I tried to watch this abysmal movie! I do remember wanting both my time and money back! I would like the sadist that was involved in this project to suffer the same kind of fate as his victim.

Amazing idea but the worst possible execution imaginable. As a HUGE Christopher Nolan fan who travels hours to see them in IMAX's cinemas I was blown away by how bad this was. It looks like it was shot on film from the seventies that they still had lying around with that awful contrast and washed out colours. The dialogue is often inaudible and that was done on purpose as a story telling device (what?!) and most of the scenes don't seem connected in any way, characters just appear in other countries and carry on the same conversations. Chris has spoken before about making movies seem "movie real", i.e. if this world fake world actually existed could we believe the events going on onscreen, think Lord of the Rings, Batman etc. Well he threw that out of the window with this and made us not believe in it and have zero connection to any character, I honestly wouldn't have cared if they'd have all died at any point.

It's passably entertaining though flies a bit close to 'that' early Red Dwarf episode. Certainly not as clever as the film makers want you to think it is and I don't think you get more out of it from repeat viewings. Some of the action scenes are pretty decent but other than the 747 crash something about it lacks spectacle. You don't come out of this with any profound revelation, that's for sure.
