About this movie

One month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they’ve been playing since the first grade—risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take each other down with the battle cry “You’re It!” This year, the game coincides with the wedding of their only undefeated player, which should finally make him an easy target. But he knows they’re coming…and he’s ready. Based on a true story, “Tag” shows how far some guys will go to be the last man standing.

really good fun. just not giving it five stars for two reasons. one: the female characters felt like plot devices a lot of the time which is always disappointing (because of how they were written, not how the actors portrayed them). two: the big reveal at the end had real gravity but then was played off for laughs pretty much immediately and while i get it's a lighthearted comedy, the characters earlier in the film made the point that some things you just can't joke about or fake but then joke about this major point, so it didn't ring true. i know i'm taking this very seriously but that's how i feel.

This movie is the antidote for whatever ails you, because laughter is the best medicine. It's a true comedy, not one of those half-assed jobs where it gets sentimental and tedious at the end. The tag sequences are hilarious, hard-core action sequences. I don't like seeing people get injured, but this movie pulls it off for the comedy, without making it uncomfortable. Also, it does a pretty decent job of setting up a plot line for what it, essentially, a short-film's worth of material. Love love love! If you love Super Troopers (the original), Caddyshack, Hangover (1), or any other pure 100% comedies, watch Tag! Then watch it again.

This movie was irreverent, immature, and crass. And God help me, I loved it. It is everything any man (or woman) would want from a friendship. It is not Oscar material and doesn't have deep themes that will cause you to examine your soul, but is is fun and hilarious. If you are wound too tight you might not like it. But if like to have fun and don't take life too seriously you will enjoy it. And maybe start your own game.....
