Color and sound are both tangled together to create a strong horror backbone. It plays on red to make familiar and safe scenes more unknown and creepy, while using green lighting in lesser known environments to blend the atmosphere of the scenes together. Color is always bright neon colors and it works very well. Sound seems to be an analog synth multi layered track, with vocals. the same track is used though-out the movie to signal horrific events. other tracks are of cause used and goblin was an awesome choice for the sounds of this movie, while painting along the colors with the techno-city enviornment brought out to this smal isolated german estate. Acting is this movies downside and was obviously not the focus of the film. Voices almost seems voiced-over and can take one out of it. The rooms and structures in the movie seem to play of 1920 german horror and while it doesn't elevate the movie it isn't a bad choice. Suspiria is a hymne to european culture and borrows from many things to create a story seen before, with a set that is overplayed, using music of a by that time over popular genre whilst lighting that jumps at you with no intent of blending into the old nature of the picture, and still maneges to create something horrifying and original.
