About this movie

In Suspicion, wealthy, sheltered Joan Fontaine is swept off her feet by charming ne'er-do-well Cary Grant. Though warned that Grant is little more than a fortune-hunter, Fontaine marries him anyway. She remains loyal to her irresponsible husband as he plows his way from one disreputable business scheme to another. Gradually, Fontaine comes to the conclusion that Grant intends to do away with her in order to collect her inheritance...a suspicion confirmed when Grant's likeable business partner Nigel Bruce dies under mysterious circumstances. Suspicion's stylish chills put Hitchcock on the top of the Hollywood heap...and keeps audiences on the edges of their seats to this day. So hang on for an-all suspence that's all-out Hitchcock! Year: 1941 Director: Alfred Hitchcock Starring: Cary Grant, Joan Fontaine, Sie Cedric Hardwicke, Nigel Bruce, Dame May Whitty

Awkward pacing yet suspenseful. Amazing cinematography for the time. Cary Grant was good in this film. Ending is very sudden (like 30 seconds) then the credits.

except... ending was changed, Johnny WAS the villain, audiences didn't like Cary being a killer=villian.. Movie was changed after 1 showing in theatres.Cary could be a rouge, he was charming, handsome, swab, debounier loveable, gorgeous....but not evil! this movie influened me, when I saw 4 free, on late nite usa tube...This movie is all style, class, innocence but still sexy.. & lies, "but it is Johnny" I will always love this movie& Cary

Interesting plot....I love old time mystery, suspicion, and psychological thriller movies! Intriguing yet delightfully innocent....no worries about bad language or off color scenes! Enjoyed it:) I recommend for a cozy night at home :)
