About this movie

Academy Award-winners Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman head an all-star cast in the fantastic, action-packed film that made Christopher Reeve an international star playing the greatest superhero of all time. From the doomed planet of Krypton, two parents launch a spaceship carrying their infant son to earth. Here he grows up to become Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman.

This is how you tell a story, from the feel of just watching it, the music, actors and actresses, and of course the storyline itself. Instantly you'll feel you're being told a great story and throughout the movie you'll be thoroughly entertained. The pacing, lighting, acting, music, and everything in between just screams out world class production. This is one of those few movies I come back to watch it over and over again. It's that good.

Best Superman Movie every made. Not like that garbage Man of Steel where they based Man of Steel off of JESUS from the BIBLE. Way too many christian themes in that movie that made it extremely offensive to christians. I guess they never read the 2nd Commandment of the 10 Commandments. Anyway...this Superman and Superman II were and ARE THE BEST SUPERMAN MOVIES EVERY MADE. 5 OUT OF 5 STARS.

It's a really good movie, although it does lack the action that Man Of Steel would deliver to us 35 years from the release of this movie in 1978, it excels in a really good well thought out plot, story, acting, and special effects for its time. One thing I'll say is that Christopher Reeve is the iconic Clark Kent and an exceptional Superman, but Henry Cavill is the iconic Superman and an exceptional Clark Kent.
