About this movie

From director George Clooney, the small idyllic town of Suburbicon is the perfect place for Gardner Lodge (Academy Award® winner Matt Damon) to make a home. But beneath this tranquil surface lies a disturbing reality, where nothing is as it seems. When a break-in leads to the shocking murder of his wife, Gardner must navigate the town’s underbelly of deceit and violence to protect his family from further harm. Academy Award® winner Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac also star in this darkly comedic, suspenseful thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end.

Google play executives trick people by falsely classifying this as a Comedy. I guess all of us dumb white folk didn't know there is racism back in the 50's and this movie will teach us this is a problem! Unfortunately, this unethical and deceiving approach does nothing but fuel a divide in this country. My grandmother was a nurse back in the 50's and worked with all white nurses under all white leadership in a polo children's ward. She had her picture taken with a colored child. I had asked her what she had felt about colored people back in the 50's. She said she and the hospital took in everyone and she loved everyone regardless of color or creed. We as a human race want to leave out important facts that don't support our agenda and because of that fact progression in any form will be slow if not impossible.

Most actors no wait I should preface this by saying I am an engineer and don't spew my politics at my workplace I do my job. So when I go back to work nobody has ill feelings about me. now all the "actors" yes finger quotes, eventually want to make or direct movies but do not take into account that political garb they talked about spills into the buyers of tickets to said movies. Take the knee on the field, hows that working out? We don't forget! Good Luck .

Like a lot of the other reviews here, because of the advertising on tv I was thinking this was going to be a quirky dark comedy. It was not. Not that it’s a bad movie, I still enjoyed it. And if it had been marketed as what it really is, I would’ve probably enjoyed it better. I wouldn’t have been watching it anticipating the funny part. But because of the false advertising I feel like it’s worthy of 3 stars.
