Stoker

Left me feeling more awkward than any of Chan-Wook Park's past films. I don't think I've ever finished watching something and felt that uncomfortable in my life. Its suspense kept me interested and I like the way everything meshed together, so I guess I liked it.

Disturbing and dull, the greatest moments of this movie are by far captured in the preview. Sold as a suspenseful and chilling thriller, it lacks the knowledge and understanding that lead to suspense and will only grant chills due to its unsettling content. Though all three of its leads give a strong performance, the movie is too artsy for anyone seeking a thrill, and too indecisive to be truly interesting. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't looking for an abstract character piece about disturbed minds that leaves you with far more questions than real answers. Though, if you are teaching a theatre or acting class, it would be an excellent study in movement and body language, as there is little to no dialogue and a great deal is expressed through physicality.

Not really a movie review. Mainly a comment of how vague a description. It's all boasting the actors and how it's already been rated. This kind of lazy marketing has lost at least one potential rental and/or purchase.
