About this movie

It can be anything. A fanged monster that won't stay on the movie screen. Something ominous lurking in the basement. No matter what your biggest fear is, no one knows It better than Stephen King. Based on the King Of Horror's 1986 bestseller, It is a jittery, jolting excursion into personal fear. A malevolent force in a small New England town takes the shape of a clown, but he's not clowning around. Instead, he terrifies youngsters and brings some to their untimely doom - until some wily kids fight back. The evil resurfaces 30 years later: meaner, angrier, deadlier. And friends who vividly remember youthful terrors reunite to fight It.

And when you're down here they allllll float! Hilarious to read all the bad reviews saying this movie terrified them...that's the point. Welcome to horror. Still holds up well after all this time. Tim curry was a genius as pennywise the murderous clown. The films screenplay could be better, and some of the acting is less than stellar but that clown doesn't care. He's the whole show, and he's fantastic. A bit long.

This movie/ TV miniseries is the reason why many people hate clowns. The acting and story were good, and pennywise is a great villain because a monster who poses as a child killing clown is creative and creepy. Never read the book but this is a good movie, but I wish it showed the deaths and not skip past them! The cancelled remake was supposed to be r-rated, gory and terrifying. The special effects are dated and kinda cheesy but this movie is worth it of you want to be scared!

Huge horror buff....The original mini series was great..corny...but great. The new movie in theaters is atrocious..trying to make you jump out of your seat so many times it gets annoying. Twas more a comedy than a horror, and it honestly felt like it was making fun of the original. No character adaptation...so you have no clue why these kids are being attacked by different monsters. It's supposed to tell you about each kid and their personal fears, which in turn makes it even more scary because you would feel like you were in their place..living their fears...but no, they skipped right over that and just flat out destroyed an original masterpiece...Steven King should be embarrassed by this. And anyone who gives the new movie in 2017 a thumbs up has no idea what real horror is..if you were afraid of clowns and were able to watch this CLEARLY they did NOT justify or capture the fearsome beast on screen the way it should be...Go watch Clown. It's absolutely amazing! Not even slightly corny and 100% well done! And you probably won't sleep at night if you're afraid of clowns...ISN'T THAT THE POINT?!
