Starred Up

Wow. Raw, dark, and real. This film is actually quite beautiful, and the acting is master-class. You are flooded with the emotions on screen with every new camera angle as you follow a simple but spectacularly told story about a young lad who is transferred to an adult prison, 2 years before the average transfer age. Jack O'Connell destroys previous prison cliches with his stunning performance, having been in trouble with the law in his own past. A must see.

The acting is indeed great. I still need a better story or delivery of such a great premise to nudge this over other great flicks. It was promising. It didn't feel like a waste of time but I'm definitely confused how it's rated high on rotten tomatoes.

This movie makes me never want to break a law. I would last about 3 seconds in the slammer. Aside from that its a gritty movie that flows real well. Great camera shots
