About this movie

Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell, Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Vala Mal Doran and the alien, Tealc, all members of the elite Stargate SG-1 team, travel to the ruins of Dakara in hopes of finding the fabled Ark of Truth. Built by the Alterans, (builders of the stargates), millions of years before, this ancient artifact may be the sole means remaining to defeat the Ori armies who have thus far proven unstoppable in their quest to conquer the universe in the name of their religion, Origin.

I'm a HUGE Stargate fan and I wish they made more movies. This one wrapped up the series nicely. Almost like a reverse pilot. One of my favorite line of the series is here, the Ori High Priest come in, played by Julian Sands, and Daniel Jackson says, "oh god." Sand's response: "Your Gods cannot save you now Daniel Jackson." Daniel's response: "No, that's more a statement of general dissatisfaction."

Good follow-up to the SG1 series! I watched this after completing the 10th season of SG1. The storyline and characters in this movie were true to the series The movie also added added some completion as it addressed some of the series' unanswered questions. Highly recommended for fans of SG1! You'll get the most out of this movie if you first watch the 10th season of the series.

Stargate was an awesome series. The movies made to fill in a few gaps and conclude the story are wonderful as well. This is one of thos, but stands up well even if you have not seen the series :)
