Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

If you are going to see a Sequel Trilogy movie, I say watch instead The Last Jedi by Rian Johnson, instead of either of the 2 J. J. Abrams remakes. I can not express in words how much I hate Episode 9, it contradicts every single Star Wars movie that came before, in the most insulting ways. There is even a massive plot-hole detailed on IMDB, where basically the villain accidentally won,I am not even kidding, is the biggest plot-hole of all time (look at your own risk). *I consider J. J. Abrams by far the worst to be the worst, director and writer that Star Wars has ever had. And so sad that he ruined everything that has solved the problems caused by his lack of skill. Like the actors do what they can (them and the VFX are the saving grace). But, there is so little they can do when J.J. keeps remaking the better original trilogy, hell 9 does that weird thing where he starts remaking 8, in a way that completely betrays everything that Lucas story stands for. The thing with J.J. as writer and director, is that he is more exited about the previous movies than the one you are actually seeing. So, you just wish you were seeing the Originals instead of J.J.´s derivative remake, wish any of the living directors had directed instead of Abrams. I hope he gets a restriction order from any kind of sequel to works by George Lucas. If I wrote all of the things that I consider that J.J, missed, I am going to ruin the movie for you. And I´d rather not do that, we deserved an original story instead of a derivative remake, and a lazy at that.

*This review contains spoilers for this The Rise of Skywalker and Endgame* -If I were to rate this movie based only upon how good the visuals were, it would be a definite five stars. But that's like the only thing I liked about it, because the story is an absolute mess. -This movie brings back Palpatine and only tries to justify it with a line he said in the prequels. (Some people are saying that there's more of an explanation to his survival in some book. But that's just plain stupid. Star Wars movies shouldn't have to rely on sources outside of the films to explain what's happening in them). This retcons the OT so much. Does anyone remember when Anakin was redeemed when he killed the Emperor? Well it doesn't matter anymore because what he did was undone just to be redone by an uninteresting, bland character. -This film also destroys any tension it could ever have, because it just lets every character in danger off the hook. For example: The heroes fall into quicksand, but a space snake clears out a way for them to get out. Chewbaca is seemingly killed by Rey, but it's a fake-out. C-3PO loses his memory, but gets it back from R2-D2. Zorii Bliss and Babu Frik are left on Kijimi after Zorii gave away their only way to escape (Kijimi is blown up like five minutes later btw), but they show up in the final battle. Finn, Poe, and Chewie are about to be executed, but the guy executing them wants them to escape. -In good writing actions have consequences, and that's what makes it more interesting. If characters keep luckily finding their way out of impossible situations, the audience (at least I) can't get invested because it's been established that there's going to be little or no consequences. -There are a lot more things wrong with this movie but this is the last thing. Being a Marvel fan, I couldn't help but notice how badly this movie copies off of Endgame. -When Poe realizes that they're probably going to lose, he suddenly hears the voice of Lando Calrissian over coms. And from out of nowhere countless ships arrive from hyper-space ready to defeat the Final Order. After that Poe lines all of the ships up and says "Rebels... Assemble." lol just kidding I made that last part up. -In Endgame a very similar event happens. If you've seen it you know what I mean, and if you haven't seen it, go watch it and you'll get it. -During the "climactic" ending where Rey kills Palpatine, he says, "I am all the Sith," to which Rey replies, "And I... Am all the Jedi." She then bounces Sheev's Sith lightning back into his face, disintegrating him. This is a straight rip-off of Thanos', "I am inevitable" and Tony's, "And I... Am... Iron Man" from Endgame. Not to mention, Tony disintegrates Thanos right after that. *snap* -It's like J.J. Abrams is a 6th grader who copied off another kid's homework but had to change it a little to make it look legit. -Anyway that's my review for The Rise of Skywalker. I probably would have complained more about the stupid amount of plot holes in this movie, but this already 600 words so I figured I'd stop now. *Just a side note to people who might think that I'm trashing a Star Wars movie just because I'm a Marvel fan... I'm not. I really like Star Wars, but this movie just isn't a good representation of the franchise as a whole.

Trash. Just trash. This movie is bad storylining at its finest. I mean, In 1983, we thought it was all over. Heck, the rebels even had a huge party with cute teddy bears. Now THAT was a good ending. BUT NO. APPARENTLY Palpatine somehow SURVIVED. NOW THAT, my friend, is just, WRONG. They should've shown that palps survived in 1983's Retrun of the Jedi, instead of just puttin him there out of the blue. And even with the fight (Rey v.s Palps) they stole Endgames line. Movie stinks, thats finale.
