As a fan of the old series i was a bit worried it would be same old same old.. but that was so not the case. Its amazing and appeals to everyone.. i was a fan of voyger and next gen and mum was a fan of original series and my daughter hated them all but we all agree this film was amazing. Great storyline, amazing action, funny one liners and a new twist that will keep everyone entertained all deliverd by brilliant actors.. watch it you wont be sorry....

Brilliant film, everything else sucks, you have to have internet connection to watch even if its downloaded, not great if you have limited usage. Tried on my laptop and it froze every 10 mins or so saying it had licensing issues, you then have to disconnect and start again. Save yourself the hassle buy the dvd they mostly come with a digital copy now anyway. So brilliant movie ruined by technical issues

I was sceptical about this film, I didn't see the point in going back over the captain Kirk stories especially since star trek has gone in so many different directions. How wrong was I, this film nails it so well. The casting is superb, the story brilliant they cleverly create a totally new story line without undoing the old one (you'll see). Worth watching even if you have never seen a star trek episode.
