There's a reason this movie got animated film of the year, yes... it's just another one of those "super hero movies" but before this fim, Miles Morales wasn't really that great of a character and this film completely saved him! The animation of the film (despite how some people hate it) is gorgeous and stylistic. It looks so much like a comic book and it's slightly lower FPS count helps that. The movement and animation of the characters is fantastic and it makes me feel if this film were to be rendered in a more realistic style, I could totally believe that it's real life. The sound design was on point from the song choices for the film being catchy while still being appropriate for the scenes and the score used to show just how scary the Prowler is. Not to mention how it's used in the intro to the song "What's up danger" as his recently passed uncle become a source of motivation. The colors and animation of the film are stunningly gorgeous! From looking at the out of focus foam party while sitting in the back of Mile's dads cop car to the shift from the purple and green spidey sense to red and blue once Peter and Miles meet and discover that they are like each other. That color choice shows that before meeting Spiderman that if Miles continued on the path he was going, he was likely to end up like his uncle. Overall... this movie can be hard to put into words and if you're sitting here still reading this review I recommend that you stop and watch this movie! I love styled films like this because this movie will remain good looking for so many years to come.

Miles Morales makes his big screen debut in this beautifully animated film. There is a reason this film swept the animation categories in 2018: it pushes animation in the direction it needs to be pushed. It looks like the filmmakers took a comic book and animated it. If you're tired of the 'same-face' animations being pumped out by Disney, then this movie is for you. Not only is the animation cutting edge, but the story line has something for everyone: humor, heartache, and personal growth. A beautiful coming of age story that shows us all anyone can wear the mask.

Great movie. It has Noir Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman (who calls herself Ghost Spider in the shows) it has Peter and Spider-Ham all coming to Miles' universe. Which is related to The Flash when he and his friends travel to other heroes and heroine's parallel universes using breaches or creating wormholes with his super speed to time travel to other timelines while seeing what happens in the past, present and future all at once. (Which is basically the Speed Force)
