About this movie

George Lopez leads a winning cast in this inspiring movie based on an amazing true story. When four wildly different Hispanic high schoolers team up to enter a robotics competition against the nation's top universities, no one believes they have a chance—no one but Fredi (Lopez), their new substitute teacher. As Fredi challenges his students to be the best they can be, they show him the power of never giving up, in this unforgettable tale that shines with heart, humor, and hope.

This is such an inspired and inspiring story . Regaurdless of some weaker points with the fundamentals ,the overall film reallyand truly is worth your time! Granted , being a 'nerd' may of enhanced the experience for some of us , it was a well depicted true to life story that I feel very few are aware of . That being said ,I feel it is a very worthy story of being told and I kinda wish that it lends more awareness to its subject. / its appropriate for children and even moreso I think it of much value for

My kids liked it, definitely geared for younger audience. Not great but not bad either. If you got kids they might get a lesson out of it.

To the nay-sayers go away!!! Your annoying!!! If your self esteem is low and/or are the butt of nasty jokes and/or being hassled by bullies because your smarter than they and don't just go to school or work and do better than they do. They would rather coast along than try to excel and put time in and sweat to go farther than do in life and make something of yourself. They are to be pitied not hated by you because they can do better and don't care! They never had a mentor or a teacher to help and encourage them. I love history and books and so many other things that I still love to do because of one very special teacher: Mister Schoenberg [I'm not sure of the spelling] but he taught at P.S. 27 in the Bronx. I;m 74 now but then I was in the 6th grade. Hope you all have one or more teachers like him; they are worth their in gold. In the meantime enjoy this movie and pay to the words and just learn form it.
