How does films like this get made? Don't get me wrong, I watch a ton of indie films that aren't the secular type film that the majority of people flock to watch. I hate blockbuster action films and superhero movies, so if anyone could find the artist side it would be me! I couldnt find it! Of course, alot of the artist critics couldnt either. Why do all these name brand actors flock to these projects? We will never know! I guess I'm not cool enough or I'm not avant garde enough! IF YOU don't like artsy films which tell the story through the lenses of emotion, don't bother with this one just cause you like the actors!

I give the filmmaker credit for trying a very different style of movie than anything I've ever seen, but it didn't work.

I fault the poor ratings to the way this film was advertised. They advertised a blockbuster movie and provided an "indie film". Of course the general audience isn't going to like a film where they'd have to think. I really enjoyed this film. It had portions that were a sort of meditation, where you were there with Portman feeling the music or the curtains, or her longing for meaning. This film has inspired me to look at more films by this director. Great job guys!!!
