About this movie

Having carefully calculated her professional life, African-American accounting exec Kenya McQueen (Sanaa Lathan) is concerned that her personal life doesn't measure up, so she agrees to go on a blind date with a sexy, free-spirited landscape architect (Simon Baker). Her new love interest turns out to be white, which isn't necessarily a deal-breaker -- until she meets a seemingly perfect black man (Blair Underwood).

Something New is one of my favorite movies for the longest, I used to check out the movie from my local libraries all the time and now I can watch it anytime I want as pleased. I'm a single man I never gone to any dates or meet the right woman. Someday I'll have a professional career and find the love of my life to be together, for a long time I have a huge secret of my own sexually. Sanaa Lathan and Alfre Woodard both acted together preciousy on the film, Love & Basketball before with Taraji P. Henson appeared on Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys.

This is a pretty good movie I love their love scenes and how much passion is between them. I only have one complaint and the way she plays him when they're in front of other black people it's a little annoying other than that it's a great love story!!!

A feel good movie. It's shows how being boxed in or caving to pressure does not make you happy. Simon Baker is refreshing and Sanaa is a Great actress even to her facial expressions. I re watch on a regular basis.
