Solis

An underrated atmospheric, thrilling story of survival featuring a great performance from a cast against type Steven Oog. His charisma and humanity hold the attention throughout what's largely a one man show, with only the off screen voices of Alice Lowe and Kate Coogan to guide him. Great special effects and sound design that are all the more remarkable as Solis (2018) was entirely filmed at North Yorkshire's Goldfinch Studios.

Nicely shoot, but plot & dialogue leave a lot to be desired. If you expect to see much more than just one actor on just one set, you’ll be disappointed.

This was a total waste of my time, even through the "action packed" moments. In which are boring at best and a combination of down right mundane writing. Left the conclusion of the movie after an hour and a half of an annoying commander and a engineer that won't man up. Leaves us scratching our heads at the end. "Did he make it? Did he not?" Over all a classic case of being simply put. A bad movie experience.
