Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie

As an afficianado of the quirky, clever and surreal original comic strips by the flawless Charles Shultz, I thought oh no, CGI, it will be all PC and horribly updated. Good grief, as Charlie would say, I'm wrong! I won't spoil the plot, but its ace, by turns laugh out loud funny, touching, a twin romance with Snoopy/Fifi and Charlie/Little Red Haired Girl, running on parallel lines, one real one fantasy. All the characters are unmistakably accurate, Snoopy steals the show (but of course!).

This film does justice to the source material, no obnoxious pop culture references, no messing with the characters, child actors who can act- especially Lucy, warm, funny moments, and just one of my favourite films of 2015
