About this movie

From the producer of Get Out comes a superhero story like you've never seen before. Bo (JACOB LATIMORE, Collateral Beauty) is a young street magician who is left to raise his little sister after his parents pass away. To keep a roof over their heads, he takes on a job selling drugs for psychopathic drug dealer Angelo (DULÉ HILL, TV's Psych). When he realizes he's in too deep and that he and his sister are at risk, Bo uses his magic to find a way out in this inventive and original film. - ( Original Title - Sleight )

Stereotypical gangbangers fight over gang stuff. Drugs and money. Also one of them has an electromagnet in their arm. Slow burn never really reaches a climax. Movie feels like it's over around the time things start getting interesting. The moral of this story seems to be "screw everyone else over so you can undo your own mistakes". Movie box art and description is severally misleading. 1/10 would rather watch "Straight outta Compton" and then "Push" right after.

Interesting ideas, and a decent narrative for the story, but the science, and mediocre acting make it just an OK movie. Coins and copper slugs are not magnetic, so it's disappointing that these are pretty big parts of the story. With a few tweaks, it could have been more realistic, but shortcuts were taken, making it a weaker film in my opinion. Felt like Iron Man mixed with Unbreakable. Not bad, but could have been better.

This movie was pretty cool. The story kept me hooked, the effects were cool, and the characters were likable. I love the revenge though it's literally my favorite thing in movies and it was just SO SATISFYING. One downside, there's not as much moving stuff with the electromagnetic field as I'd personally like, and if felt like it was filmed more like a music video than a movie. The latter isn't a bad thing, but it makes the movie feel like it's going a bit slow at times? I loved the movie though. I wish there was a little more to it, like what happens to certain characters at certain times.
