About this movie

After a difficult childhood drives him into the grasps of a white supremacist gang, Bryon (Jamie Bell, delivering a visceral, explosive performance) tries to escape to a new life, all the while questioning whether he's capable of undoing— and repenting for — the evil he's done. Academy Award-winning writer-director Guy Nattiv makes his English-language feature debut with this galvanizing story of transformation, inspired by actual events.

We've seen and heard enough about the supposed epidemic of hate coming out of the white males of the world to last us several life times. Obviously this one side of the coin we have been forced to examine so incredibly thoroughly for so sickeningly long has gotten to the point that it's become a real social issue worth examining in it's own right. How does one segment of the human population react to being demonized with such a constant flow of propaganda and with such sophisticated and laser focused intensity that even Joseph Goebbels couldn't have imagined it in his most vivid fantasies? Perhaps movies like this, which are only a tiny fragment of a vastly larger program, have become a part of the problem. Maybe, just maybe when you grow up being told that you and your ancestors have never been anything but evil, genocidal, thieves this causes more hatred instead of less? Time to turn that coin over and see what's on the other side, quit beating this maimed beyond recognition dead horse, and see a different perspective for once.

Brilliant acting by the cast of this movie. I'm curious about the "other side of the coin" mentioned here? Also, elaborate on "the other perspective"; to be clear. This countries' history well documents the facts that Black American's were "freed" with nothing! No clothes, food, shelter, jobs or finances. Just tossed into the streets. Next Amer. passed laws that essentially made being Black a "crime". White Amer. operated and still operates to suppress other racial groups. FACTS!

It's a good film about change and based on true story a white supremacists changes for the better The dude from Billy Elliot does a good job portraying it's persona. Otherwise ignore most commentators it's like many just bashing their beliefs without giving the film a chance.
