this would get the 5 stars but the weak link was his wife.her voice grated on me.stupid English stereotypical of how Americans think we speak! the main character on the other hand is a really good actor like a better version of Kevin bacon! I was really scared at some points.the old videos give me chills!! a must watch sinister 2 isn't as good as this original

Started off like any most horror film, family moves to a new house and find out crazy stuff happened there same old same old, but as the film goes on new plot lines are induced that are pretty original, however I gave it 4 star because I'm not sure about the "twist" at the end (although if you have seen a fair amount of horror films you get a good idea of Wat it is)! Overall a good , well acted movie that's worth renting if you want to watch a film that's a bit different!

I too was swayed by all the good reviews but this is truly not a great film. It has a great idea, but the acting is truly abysmal. There are no genuine performances, and none of the characters are likeable whatsoever. I will say the tension is excellent, and there are some truly good jumps but it's a good drop in a bland ocean. Sorry to say!
