About this movie

Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene) stars in this suspenseful, edge-of-your-seat thriller presented in real time as one shocking, uninterrupted shot. When Sarah (Olsen) finds herself sealed inside her family's secluded lake house with no contact to the outside world, panic soon turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous. Directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau (Open Water), it's a tension-filled journey that Scott Mantz of Access Hollywood raves is "Beyond terrifying! Clever, gripping, intense and scary as hell"!

Man, this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The whole thing made no sense. 90% of the movie involves the girl running away from something unseen in the house. Most of the time the screen is so dark you can't see anything. The ending made no sense whatsoever. This was not scary at all. The only saving grace is the girl is sexy as hell. Otherwise pure garbage. Also, I hate how they film the movie as if it's a home movie with the camera always moving. I literally got nauseous and almost threw up from motion sickness.

I watched this because I heard they did the entire movie in one continuous shot with no edits which is a testament in itself . I enjoyed Elizabeth Olsen's performance. The movie has some creepy moments and it definitely gets real weird towards the end but I like weird. I give it three stars it wasn't an incredible film but it's strange a little different worth watching.

Elizabeth Olsen definitely makes this film. Engaging throughout, but the ending feels like they slammed ten minutes into two. Another user said it well - horror films need strong endings to maintain good reviews.
