Although the movie is dealing with some important life and death and human rights issues, the apparent defeat is hard to fathom and is not explained well. There was more that needed to be said to understand the problem that was being faced and the answer that God was providing, yet the move remained silent. This made the movie quite confronting for my wife and I so that we cannot recommend it.

Based off of a Japanese book. This is straight up story telling entertainment. An interesting look at Japan centuries ago. Despite the religion and fictitious characters.
