About this movie

From Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic) comes this suspenseful and provocative tale of intrigue starring Channing Tatum, Academy Award-nominees Rooney Mara and Jude Law, and Academy Award-winner Catherine Zeta-Jones. After her husband (Channing Tatum) is released from prison, Emily (Rooney Mara) begins suffering from terrifying anxiety and turns to psychiatrist Dr. Banks (Jude Law) for help. But when Banks prescribes an experimental drug for her, the side effects have chilling and deadly consequences. Full of unexpected twists, Side Effects is the sexy psychological thriller that critics are calling "wildly unpredictable!" (Marlow Stern, Newsweek)

Worst plot and ridiculous advertising for every anti-depressant on the market. It was semi believable. I watched the whole thing and I'm not impressed.I would not watch it again and I would not recommend it. They also led me to believe Channing Tatum would be in the movie ... Lies. lol And this is an accurate portrayal of the true nature of the bipolar history of Mrs. Zeta-Jones. Good thing shes getting better.

Saw this movie on a plane returning from Asia. It was good enough to keep me awake and eager to not miss a second (I rewinded the movie each time there was a cabin announcement just to make sure I did not miss any of the dialogue or plot). Would have happily paid money to see in theater.

I've seen this movie on more than one occasion. This movie is mind blowing in it's own special way. You have to think deeper into the actors portrayal instead of seeing it as a "film" that you're watching. It's slow at times but it's a psychological thriller/suspense. It's worth the watch.
