I had my doubts about this film. Now I admit, that I was wrong! Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) was extremely convincing and definitely relished in this role. However the star of the film Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister, GoT) was an absolute thrill to watch. This film really explores our criminal system and how one mistake can lead down a rabbit hole into a series of decisions, that stems from survival to sacrificing one's own freedom for those they love.

Criminals aren't born they are created. And that is exactly what this movie entails. The system is supposed to deter crime, but rather helps to create it, then the governments pays people to fight and destroy what theyve created and made worse. Prison makes people hardened and more likely to reoffend if not used correctly, and with a system that creates a 90% recidivism rate, we see what exactly it does to society by making people more criminally intellectual. This movie brings that to life. There's a couple parts that may be over the top, but as someone who's been in similar situations, I can say that this movie is as close as it gets to the cold harsh reality of what happens behind prison doors. This movie deserves a 9 out of 10. Hopefully one day prisons will offer more rehabilitation rather than breeding more crime to fatten other pocket books.

I love him in Game Of Thrones and he really shows he is capable of stepping out of those shoes and into other types of roles. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays a normal everyday guy that fate gives him a bad deal. He is sent to prison and he has to learn to survive and protect his family. This is different from his current role on GOT and it is nice to see him as a lead character. He did a great job of acting and I would recommend this movie.
