About this movie

Certain to stir a hornet's nest of controversy wherever it plays, Shortbus was the buzz film at Cannes this year. It is a celebration of sex in all its forms - hetero, homo and... auto. The sex may be graphic but in Shortbus sex is fun and sometimes downright funny. Shortbus explores the lives of several emotionally challenged characters as they navigate the comic and tragic intersections between love and sex in and around a modern-day underground salon. A sex therapist who has never had an orgasm, a dominatrix who is unable to connect, a gay couple who are deciding whether to open up their relationship and the people who weave in and out of their lives, all converge on a weekly gathering called Shortbus: a mad nexus of art, music, politics and polysexual carnality. © Entertainment One Films Australia. Some of the so-called feature films being dished up at the cinemas at the moment is cheap, nasty and downright boring. Some of the chirpy, crappy stuff is an insult to people who pay for movies. Hey, and that's you people out there reading this. You pay. Either through the box office or by buying the DVD or watching the film on TV. You pay! A man came up to me and said "Rex, I love this show". He gave me his business card, the address was the Netherlands. This is dizzy stuff, folks.
