This movie was extremely dark with absolutely nothing positive acheived by the end of the film. The characters' lives spiraled downward through the film and everything went from bad to worse with absolutely no positive resolutions. The female character, I found her to be your typical junkie with very low actions and no aspirations to do the right thing. She was in love with her boyfriend, yes. And he happened to be black, yes. So I guess she's not a racist. But her boyfriend, too was disgusted by her behavior. She was just a junkie hooker who had no interest in going back to her family. Very negative film.

I found this movie in a used movie and record store and could not understand why until I read the description and saw it was about the homeless. To bad it did not have Will Smith as the main character as his homeless movie was about a man who made good for his Son to see that it doesn't matter about where you are in life, but what you do with what you have. A shame it was not played in any of the theatres in my area. It makes me sad that I found it at a used store so none of the proceeds went to the makers.
