Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

I have just come out of a screening of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the one word I would use to describe it is SPECTACULAR. I remember when this movie was announced in 2019 (I think) and whilst it was good to see that an Asian superhero would be joining the ranks of the MCU I was worried that the character would be cliched and stereotypical of most Asian characters, i.e. a stereotypical kung fu master. Well, whilst Shang-Chi does fit the bill as a martial arts master, this movie does not at all feel cliched! In fact I feel like this movie has breathed new life into the MCU. The tone and set designs in this movie were spectacular. The comedy was great. The action sequences (especially toward the end of the film) were just superb. Unlike most MCU origin movies in the past, this movie absolutely oozed heart and emotion, to the point where I felt myself tearing up multiple times throughout the movie, something that does not happen often in an MCU movie! I need to say this again: this movie had so much heart, emotion, fun, comedy and action. I am astounded as to how good this movie was. The only flaw this movie has is that I wish it was longer. I wish we got to see more of Shang-Chi's life before everything changes for him. I would gladly watch this movie if it was 3 hours long. This movie is absolutely groundbreaking, all the little Asian kids out there now have a hero in the MCU that they can look up to. I remember watching Iron Man in the cinema in 2008 and it is awesome how far the MCU has come. After Endgame I was quite worried that the MCU wouldn't have legs anymore with the departure of Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans, but having seen this movie, I know the MCU is nowhere near to be finished and I am thankful for that. I wish I could personally thank Kevin Feige, Daniel Destin Cretton and Simu Liu for this movie. It is absolutely amazing to have an Asian superhero in the MCU now and wow, what an introduction! 11/10 stars!

Absolute trash. Worst Mandarin actor than guy pierce, lead female actress was so irritating everytime she spoke I saying shut up it's like her only purpose is to Crack a dumb joke at inappropriate times

What fantastic film, I had my doubts honestly but after watching it not once but twice, I loved it. Don't listen to the haters, make your own judgment and give it a go, highly recommend. Great job all round, well done.
