About this movie

From BAFTA and Oscar®-winning Writer and Director Martin McDonagh comes a star studded, blood- drenched, black comedy. Marty (Colin Farrell) is a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay, 'Seven Psychopaths'. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration. Billy (Sam Rockwell) is Marty's best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. Hans (Christopher Walken) is Billy's partner in crime. A religious man with a violent past. Charlie (Woody Harrelson) is the psychopathic gangster whose beloved dog, Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie¹s unpredictable, extremely violent and wouldn't think twice about killing anyone and anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale. - 2012 Blueprint Pictures (Seven) LTD, Film4 and the British Film Institute. I found the film to be rather strange, with no real sense as to a plot. I could vaguely make out what was happening but the film seemed to cut to different scenes randomly that didn't really have anything to do with the previous scene just shown. There were some moments where things were done or said that were funny, and some moments that were tense and emotional. The acting was very good, but I feel that the film didn't have a huge budget. Overall, it was good, and I'd rent it again, but not purchase it.

One of my favourite films and one of the films that really made me see what art was in a film. The idea of a typical western fake rip off was brilliant. If you want a film with good heart and good acting, watch this movie.

Any review would be a spoiler, but this film ended in me being disappointed. Maybe I just expected more.
