About this movie

The animated prequel to the box office record-breaker TRAIN TO BUSAN and the latest from director Yeon Sang-ho, SEOUL STATION is a fresh and terrifying take on the modern zombie film. A man sleeping in Seoul Station becomes a catalyst for the pandemonium in downtown Seoul; a zombie apocalypse. The rapidly- spreading infection propels an authentic family drama, drawing mordant parallels to real-world social horrors.

I'm a sucker for international animation. After watching Train to Busan on Netflix I wanted to see this film. As a zombie movie goes it is pretty standard fare. It isn't really breaking any new major ground in the genre but it's still very entertaining and captivating. There are surprises, the action is fun and the zombies are scary in that they run 28 Days Later style. Worth watching for sure if you're intrigued by an animated adult themed zombie film from Korea. If that sentence doesn't excite you then the movie probably won't do much for you based on content. Would watch again and would recommend to those interested in the broad strokes of this genre film.

Animated Korean Zombie movie which sets up the events leading to the live action Korean movie "Train to Busan." Like most Asian movies, the action is over the top with much emotional angst and teeth gnashing. But it works for a Zombie horror film. Very good animation with plenty of expression in the characters' faces. I thought for the most part the main characters were rather wimpy particularly the girl and not very smart. But still enjoyed the movie.

This was an okay movie. I was glad that both the pimp and the lazy boyfriend got there's in the end. The South Koreans are katching up to the Japanese, as far as anime goes, but they still have further to go, It's good to rent, but I wouldn't buy it
