About this movie

After David Kim's (John Cho) 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.

Not my usual type of film, but despite it mainly taking place on a computer screen, I found it to be very good. Quite a surprising outcome. It's good when you draw the same conclusions at the same time as the character before anything is said. You need to WATCH this though, it's not the sort of film where you can play on your tablet whilst watching this - it requires your concentration.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and I never got bored of it. The search for the missing girl was more realistic than other films with similar premises. The way the film intertwined between a drama and thriller was perfect. Within the first few minutes of the film, I was already emotionally connected with the protagonist. I always think that the start of the film really sets you up for the entirety of it and that definitely rings true here.

Taut, realistic with an outstanding central performance from John Cho (How he hasn't been nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA is beyond me. This is a genuinely great thriller and I can't recommend it highly enough..
