About this movie

Genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker's quest to power up with love. Scott Pilgrim's (Michael Cera) new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes who control her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.

This film is amazing the protagonist might not be the best but the character development and plot is amazing. Ramona and Scotts relationship isn't plastic and has weight to it and there isn't just an instant connection and nothing afterwards, its a developing relationship with amazing visuals and fantastic progression. plus the vegan antagonist looks like shroud. If you don't like this film that's fine but I recommend watching it before you make your decision. In the end these characters are loveable with actually funny jokes and a very good film adaptation but not only are the characters amazing but the world is full of amazing vibes and beautiful scenery. I recommend 10/10 5/5.

One of those hate it or love it movies. If you are into video games, arcades, retro, anime etc you will probably love this movie. If you are going to watch this movie after reading the comic, you might be a bit disappointed, but still enjoy it. Do not expect a 1-to-1 transfer of the comic's story to the big screen.

This is my favourite movie of all time for a number of reasons. Despite it not being a perfect movie, its individual components are exceedingly well made and the overall package is unique. I've rewatched it multiple times, sometimes noticing details that've escaped me in previous viewings. While it deviates from the graphic novels it uses as its base, this movie has everything that makes me want to watch movies. With a strong baseline of comedy and healthy dosages of action and romance, it manages to make me feel for the characters even on repeat viewings. I wish there were more movies with these sort of vibes and style. Unfortunately one of a kind.
