Saving Face

I didn't even reach the half way point of this movie. It's not terrible but I didn't realize it was made in 2005 with all of the problems of gay cinema back then . The main character has her first same-sex relationship in this story and it's so cringe worthy that a woman who's been on the planet at least 24 years has no clue she's gay nor how to talk to another girl? Really? I tried but this stretched credibility too far for me. Maybe if this story had been set in middle school, all the awkwardness and not having a clue would be cute but in adults it's super annoying and kept pulling me out of what should have been a nice romantic drama. Instead, I decided I didn't want to spend another minute while this woman figured stuff out in time for the final scene.

This has become my only and favorite movie. It's also the number one spot on my favorite lesbian movies list. Will is my hero, because she said no to her mom.

This movie has a good love story. The characters are good, the love does not feel forced. Has with most LGBT people has moments of yup I have been there. If you like the trailer you would love this movie.
