Google has this misclassified as a "Thriller" and I was disappointed because I was mislead by that. There are times when I'd like to watch a sleepy two-minute social justice featurette that's been stretched out to two hours, and if I'd've known that's what I was getting into then maybe this movie wouldn't have felt so distinctly like a boring rip off. This movie is almost the same as "Driving Miss Daisy," which was also not a thriller.

It was a movie I thoroughly enjoyed. Though at the moment I feel that Something was empty about it. I was happily surprised that there was not more of a political focus, as such would ruin the essence of what this movie can stand for. Not only did it make me think about myself and what these events meant to me. It brought to me the understanding of a character. This is by no means a bad movie, but despite my praises it is probably not one of the best of all time. As such I have given it and above average rating.

I consider myself to be a fan of Mr. Washington, but this move was a real dud in my opinion. Inane plot, and even though Washington digs deep to bring the story to life. . . it's just stupid. This is the first Denzel Washington movie I have not liked, but I'm looking forward to seeing him in "The Equalizer #2"
