I'd split this film into two halves. First half fascinating with his childhood and rise to stardom. Unfortunately second half was a self indulgencent sulk. Soundtrack amazing, acting amazing. Played the soundtrack on repeat for months. I still want to watch it again though.

OMG! This is one of the greatest movies I've watched so far. To be honest I was scared to watch it as LOVE Elton John and his music but was greatly surprised. Such an honest, scary, saddening but uplifting take on his life and love of music! 5*. Also, let's not forget that you have to one hell of an actor to take on a role like this. Taron, I salute you. What an amazing actor... ❤🥂

Cringingly poor in places. Only the music lifted the rating from one to two stars. No Bohemian Rhapsody. Typical jukebox musical that will most probably end up in the West End and Broadway.
