About this movie

Filled with thrilling battle sequences, mind-blowing fight choreography, and epic adventure, Robin Hood is an action-packed retelling of the classic legend. Returning home from the Crusades, Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) finds his country oppressed by the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Ben Mendelsohn). With the help of Moorish warrior Little John (Jamie Foxx) Robin transforms into the heroic outlaw Robin Hood, taking up arms to fight the sheriff and win the heart of his love, Maid Marian (Eve Hewson).

This is not "Robin Hood", it is a story of a knight in ancient England, during their "Crusades". I did not like Robin, nor the bastardization of Little John. He was not Moorish/Arabic. It ruined the tale. Jamie Fox's role was too far fetched and didn't work for the time period. Period. It deviated far too much from the original story for my tastes. My all time favorite was the original, Errol Finn, decades ago and I preferred the original Maid Marrian. I did not like the modernization of a classic. This generation of directors/producers ruin everything either out of laziness or lack of talent, or knowledge of factual history. I was disappointed in this version. It's better than Costner's Robin Hood.

This movie is incredible. Throwing historical accuracy into the void and giving us amazingly ridiculous costumes and sets, plus the actually brilliant acting made this such a fun movie all around. It's right up there with A Kinght's Tale and it's a shame so many people hate fun and rated this movie so poorly.

I loved it. I love the action. I love how Jamie Foxx and Taron Egerton played so well together. It's awesome to see veteran actors teaching our younger ones how it's done. The color of one's skin has nothing to do with anything. We are all the same. I read some of the comments. A lot of folks need Jesus. Jamie Foxx and Taron Egerton are 2 of my favorite actors. I loved the fact they both can play different characters. Opposite from theirselves.
