Rob Zombie's first Halloween is overly vulgar (the dialogue feels like it was written by an edgy 12 yo) and robs Michael of the mystique he had in the original Halloween, but I still find it enjoyable none the less. Halloween 2 is trash. It turns Laurie & Dr. Loomis into the most unlikable a**holes you could possibly imagine. Honestly, no one in this movie is likable (excluding Brad Dourif). Michael makes awful grunting noises as he kills, now. There are awful cut scenes with Michael's mother.

I'm a huge fan of the Halloween franchise but the Rob zombie films are really bad. It's all a bunch of screaming and trying to turn Michael Myers into some kind of goth kid and the mom imagery is cringe and straight out of 90s rock videos where Rob zombie belongs

Zombie's H2 is nowhere near as good as the reboot. Although the movie itself is decent, IMO, Zombie took way too many liberties with Michael Myers. Part of the 'allure' of Michael is that we don't know what he looks like, nor do we know what he sounds like. In H2, you will see and hear Michael Myers. Zombie took away the unhuman shroud of Michael Myers, and turned him into your average serial killer with anger problems. Zombie fell short with H2. Sad.his Halloween reboot was fanflippingtastic
