Wanted to comment before I watch this. I've read everyone's comment and truth of the matter is no matter how many movies they make no matter how much they try no one will ever really be able to get the full details of how much the Lord suffered for us how much pain he bore and how heavy that cross was for him to bear. He had you and me and everyone else on his shoulders that day! and he died for us because he loved us no greater love could ever be shown. So believe in the Lord cause he's coming back soon.

Risen is the story of Clavius, a Roman soldier, who oversees the death of Jesus. It follows him in the days after. The talented mostly male cast is led by Fiennes (as Clavius), who does a superb job of portraying a perfect balance of duty, skepticism and pathos. The movie's strength lies in the fact that its focus is the time after Jesus' death, which is not usual for most films. Recommended.
