About this movie

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a revolution; an action-packed epic featuring stunning visual effects and creatures unlike anything ever seen before. At the story's heart is Caesar (Andy Serkis), a chimpanzee who gains human-like intelligence and emotions from an experimental drug. Raised like a child by the drug's creator (James Franco), Caesar ultimately finds himself taken from the humans he loves and imprisoned. Seeking justice, Caesar assembles a simian army and escapes -- putting man and primate on a collision course that could change the planet forever.

I like the original series of the planet of the apes, however, this one is a copy & paste of the 1973 battle for the planet of the apes. Gary oldman is not an actor, he does not know how to act!. They should have a newer story with better actors.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a firmly delivered film about a chimpanzee who acquires human intelligence and sentiments from an experimental drug. It's a powerful movie that has great special and visual effects and acting that makes you connect deeply. There is also some fantastic action in the later part of the movie. This is one of the best films of 2011.

Why doesn't the rented version of the movie come with the subtitles for the sign language... though the movie is great.
