About this movie

Stay tuned after the credits for a hilarious gag reel! For the past two years, high school security guard Ben (Kevin Hart) has been trying to show decorated detective James (Ice Cube) that he's more than just a video game junkie who's unworthy of James' sister. When Ben finally gets accepted into the police academy, James invites him on a ride-along designed to scare the hell out him and ultimately demonstrate if Ben has what it takes to take care of his sister. But when the wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city, James will find that his new partner's rapid-fire mouth is just as dangerous as the bullets speeding at it. Also starring John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne, Ride Along is an action-packed comedy with big thrills and even bigger laughs.

So terrible that watching the "sanitised" communal version on a plane (they say "get your ankles in the car" instead of swearing) made it MORE watchable because the substitutions were nose-pinch funny. A night of heavy drinking wouldn't have eliminated as many of my brain cells as this skid mark of a film. You were warned.

From all of the hype I thought it would be somewhat decent but wasnt. The movie lacked a more detailed strong story line and I felt as if was a rushed together movie with not much thought. I felt as if the role Ice Cube played was an overpowered unrealistic cop and Kevin hart tries too hard now since all star comedy jam. It's like he fought to be the star the whole movie not to mention the actions that were done at the end was very unrealistic. I felt as if I had to force myself to finish the movie .

Maybe one or two laugh out loud moments, but a pretty predictable movie with mild laughs. Maybe Kevin Hart has peaked, maybe I've just seen his comedy to much, either way I found myself losing interest and my attention wandering during the movie. There were some funny parts, but very few that made me actually laugh out loud. If you like Kevin Hart and Ice Cube you won't be disappointed, but you also won't be surprised.
