About this movie

In this new comedy from director Larry Charles (BORAT, "Seinfeld"), comedian and TV host Bill Maher ("Real Time with Bill Maher," "Politically Incorrect") takes a pilgrimage across the globe on a mind-opening journey into the ultimate taboo: questioning religion. Meeting the high and low from different religions, Maher simply asks questions, like "Why is faith good?" "Why doesn't an all- powerful God speak to us directly?" and "How can otherwise rational people believe in a talking snake?" For anyone who's even a little spiritually curious, this divine entertainment will deepen your faith...in comedy!

This guy's a liar. Please know that the book he mentions In this movie does not have the things he claims it does. It sounds legit when he says it but when you actually look into it, nothing he said was true. He just want you to hate God, and he's doing a good job at it. Please know that God sent his one and only son, jesus (God in the flesh) to pay for your sins that you committed against him. God is righteous, perfect and truly Good. he made us in his image to worship him, but the moment Sin was born in us so was evil, unrighteousness, and death. Because we disobey God and choose our sin over him we must be punisned. Because he is a righteous God and judge he must punish us accordingly. That is the death after our earthly death, where it isn't just a lights out type of thing. it's total separation from God's presence, a place of severe suffering and agony. Because we have denied our maker he can and will deny us. If you don't realize this spiritual state you are in right now because of your sin, you will never realize why Jesus had to come. Even though we deserve hell/eternal punishment he gave up his riches in heaven to come to offer you a way out, he paid the fine 4u

This movie will not sit well with everyone. Certainly not with those who prefer faith over logic and skepticism. But to give credit were credit is due. This movie's goal is to call out any mistakes and wrong doing in the world of religion that many believers turn a blind eye to. If you're an atheist or a believer who doesn't mind exploring and learning from critiques then will you'll find this rather enlightening. If you're not well....

its so sad to see people like you in such a position to challenge religion.. but when you look around and you see so many people with so many problems whatever they may be.. some have witnessed miracles in their lives that cant be described simply as just something that has happened god exists its a war between him and evil and you portray evil to persuade others to believe what you believe. how else could any of this be possible without a higher power.
