Reign Over Me

I avoided watching this movie for years because I didn’t want to see a “9/11” movie, but this film doesn’t really focus on those events at all. Adam Sandler’s acting in non comedy is much better than when he’s trying to be funny. (Sorry, Sandman!) Don Cheadle was great in this as well, as a father and husband with too much to do and no hobbies outside of his family. One of the daughters in this film was the sister in Everybody Hates Chris, but I don’t think she had any lines at all in this movie. Weird. Some parts of this movie didn’t make sense like the woman who was the patient and how she then followed her shrink and the two men around and even went to court with them?? Why? But still, this was an excellent movie !

I was very invested emotionally. Can't believe I'm saying that about a Sandler movie. Cried, and was so angry, even with people I understood and had empathy with.The music, scenery, everything drew me in to the story.

This is the first time i have ever felt a huge amount of intrest and emotion in a movie. It was definitely one of the best movies ive seen in a long time! 5 stars
