About this movie

Jason Statham stars as an ex-Special Forces officer who comes home from the Afghan war a shattered man. Broke, homeless and lost in a haze of drugs and booze, Joseph Smith attempts to piece his life back together. But while employed as a collector for a local mob boss, he quickly learns the identity of a friend's murderer and, bent on revenge, finds himself sinking deeper into a dark world of violence in this high-octane action-thriller.

But the ending made everything he did pointless... Should've played it off like there was gonna be a sequel.. Make him like a one man A-Team. Vigilante for justice... Better than the real so called justice.. It's more criminal than the people who are basically made to look like criminals... The law can kill but we can't.. The country and laws are a huge contradiction! Have no respect for how it's ran!

Yes, it's very slow and the nun role is horribly miscast...but I think JS is making a move into more serious stuff here, and I like it. The lead is NOT a nice guy in wolf's clothing,--he's just a complicated bad guy. Let's hope JS keeps doing these films with real bite. They're getting better and better.

This one competes against Revolver as my fav J-Stat movie. Well played. Romance, art, world truths, emotion, and REDEMPTION! Don't expect the usual non-stop shoot 'em up bangbang. This is a real movie with real meaning. Bravo!
