Been holding off from watching this for far too long. I'm Dutch but live abroad, I was in my native country just weeks before this movie released, and sadly missed the release by a hair, preventing me from seeing it in the theaters. Figured I'd buy it on Google Play when available, which I did but been holding off from watching due to some negative reviews until tonight.. man, I wish I didn't, I loved every bit of it. Redbad is one of those people they don't tell you about in school (yet they do about Saint Boniface.. shows history is written by the victors). Great story, yes, it's a longer movie, but the longer "boring" parts (as some call it) were necessary to tell the story. Sure, you can rush it, but it wouldn't have made any sense. Anyways, if you're on the fence like I was, just go watch it, I was pleasantly surprised :)

I am a big fan of historical action films and this one delivers. Massive battle scenes, great performances, and Jonathan Banks from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad. If you like Game of Thrones and Vikings, then you should check this out for sure.

REDBAD is a Viking film to battle all Viking films not to mention that one of my favorite actors, Jonathan Banks, plays a pivotal role. The action scenes explode off of the screen. I'm excited to see what Roel Reine does next!
