RED 2 is the best sequel to a movie I have seen in a long time. I was worried that it was going to have a weird story plot that took away from the comedy and action. This isn't just another Bruce Willis movie; this is also a Helen Mirren and John Malkovich movie. My favorite scene in the movie involves Mary-Louise Parker. They even brought everyone back from the first movie; excluding Morgan Freeman and others that aren't important. Though some of their scenes and lines were short, it brought some of the best laughs to the movie. While it is not a popular box office award-winning title, it still is a hidden gem in the sea of over-the-top action movies and romantic dramas. I give this movie a 4/5

Well-seasoned actors with new talent usually is a recipe for a great movie, and Red 2 was proof of this. Malkovich, Willis, Hopkins and Helen Mirren all sync wonderfully. Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis make a believable couple in an action packed movie where often that role is forced within the plot to move the movie along. Funny, violent when neccessary and doesn't take itself too seriously. If I had a criticism it would be "more of the same". While I enjoy the action sequences, they were reminiscent of the first movie and didn't really progress past the bait and switch humor of Red. However, it was perfectly fine to watch it again since Red was just as hilarious. None of the scenes were forced and I couldn't find anything that seemed out of place. Excellent if you enjoyed Red.

RED 2 had its moments, but not many. It is one of the worst sequels I have ever seen. I wish I could get my money back and the two hours of my life I waited. Don't waist your money.
