I was 14 when this movie came out and was such an inspiration to me Ray Charles is one of my hero's growing up and helped push and teach me to be the musician I am today. They couldn't have found a better actor to represent such an iconic and historical man. The fact he had a scholarship in playing piano and getting to work with ray made his performance flawless. Yes he is actually playing the piano in this movie!!!!

Great Movie! It earns 4 Stars, not 5, because the casting could/should have been better and the script was lame, at times.
