About this movie

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes the action-packed adventure Ralph Breaks the Internet. Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a part to save her game, Sugar Rush. They're in way over their heads, so they must rely on the citizens of the internet-including Yesss, the head algorithm and heart and soul of the trend-making site BuzzzTube, and Shank, a tough-as-nails driver from the gritty online auto-racing game Slaughter Race-to help them navigate their way.

Disappointing sequel. A confusing metaphor that for 80% of the movie is about a girl trapped in a relationship with a controlling guy, that at the end becomes about a father having to let his daughter grow up. At no point is Ralph fatherly to Vanellope throughout the film. No classic or retro game references, Felix and Calhoun are almost entirely absent from the film... Just so disappointing. Instead of being maybe about the arcade closing and classic games getting to love on through the internet, this feels like the Emoji Movie done by Disney. :-(

This movie although lengthy, was lighthearted but poignant! I'm an adult and enjoyed the introspection and subtle nods to societal normatives we overlook. I would have loved some deviant storylines with Ralph, however I'm sure a 3rd installment will be well on its way. I'm a former Disney Castmember and current afficionado, so spot on for "Hidden Mickeys" & Easter Eggs!

Wouldn't watch this ever again. I've never laughed during this movie. And for example, there's a scene of a dollar tree being robbed during Venelope's Dream scene (although it was funny, I don't know if kids would've understood it). And there's some cringey moments where if someone walked in on you watching the film, they'd be saying "What on earth are you even watching?" The trends on the internet are SO off from this movie. But I must give credit for the whole world of the internet. It was rather creative and not yet thought of. But of course, this is my opinion. You may still watch the movie if you'd like.
