About this movie

Sharpshooter Matt Quigley is hired from America by an Australian rancher so he can shoot aborigines at a distance. Quigley takes exception to this and leaves. The rancher tries to kill him for refusing, and Quigley escapes into the brush with a woman he rescued from some of the rancher's men, and are helped by aborigines. This is a fantastic depiction of the Australian West but, it could have been in the American West. As the movie points out the two countries, during this time period and before, are similar and have similar histories. The landscape could be the American west, if you didn't know differently. This movie shows Tom Selleck in his natural 'habitat'. He is a cowboy at heart. Laura San Giacomo is great as the crazy Cora character. Tom and Laura; what a pair! They are perfect for the roles they play. I love this movie!

Bitchin Movie, tom selleck is awesome in this part. This is not a racial matter but a true depiction of what happened back in the day. Don't like it, Don't watch it.

One of my favorite films from my childhood. Shows that there is a clear-cut difference between right and wrong, while also coming to terms with the costs of doing the right thing.
